Four Stages Of The Mental Wellness Program
Includes 24-hour nursing and physician and/or nurse practitioner supervision for patient safety in establishing physical and mental stability. Staff physicians provide a medical history and physical examination, comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, and medication recommendations.
Under the leadership of the attending psychiatrist and/or nurse practitioner, the multidisciplinary treatment team works with the patient to develop a treatment plan to achieve and maintain mental wellness. The treatment plan identifies a primary diagnosis with treatment goals, objectives, and a timeline for completion.
Stage Three – Therapeutic Interventions
Includes daily sessions with the attending psychiatrist and/or nurse practitioner. Program components include daily group psychotherapy, individual counseling, family therapy, nutritional education, mental health education, substance abuse education, activity therapy, spirituality sessions, and/or medication education.
The treatment team works with the patient and significant others to determine the next step in the recovery process that will provide ongoing support and reinforcement. Continuing care options include partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, outpatient medication management, individual therapy, family therapy, 12-step programs as needed, and an alumni support group.
